About Honest Supper Club
Hi, We're Shannen and Martin!
We've always loved making food, and when we met 10 years ago this passion only grew.
We always enjoyed cooking for friends and family, sharing our wholesome home cooked meals. This soon turned into regular dinner get-togethers, and before we knew it, Honest Supper Club was born.

Meal Delivery
When a friend criticised takeout for being unhealthy and wasteful, we were inspired. We created the 'Honest Supper Club' during lockdown, delivering healthy, plant-based meals across Leeds. Our unique approach used oven-ready glass containers, part of a deposit scheme, reducing plastic waste and delighting customers with both culinary creativity and environmental responsibility.
Thaali Take-out
Our thaali delivery service kicked off on Valentine's Day with hot feasts for two. Each feast featured four delicious curries, fluffy pilau rice, gunpowder salad, naan, chutney, mint raita, our famous golden tatties with flavors like sour cream and jalapeño, and spicy fenugreek. Plus, customers also received a brownie box with five huge gooey brownies and dips. The overwhelming response led us to offer this service weekly throughout lockdown.
Honest Supper club POP UP
As lockdown restrictions eased, we took our food on the road, serving it at bars and breweries across the North of England. The picture on the right captures our very first event, a truly memorable experience. Despite the day being plagued by a storm, we persevered and managed to serve around 80 meals. It was perhaps one of the most challenging days of hard work we had encountered up to that point.
Honest Supper Club got wheels!
After a few stormy events in a gazebo, we realised that the next step for us was to upgrade to a mobile kitchen with all the essential amenities and appliances. It was a big move, and over the spring and summer, with a little help from our buddy Chris Hopkins, we slowly transformed a bus into our dream kitchen on wheels.

wedding catering
After serving food at events across the north of England bookings started to come in to cater for weddings. Our first wedding was for 125 guests. We served a four curry thaali, salad, naan, pilau rice, chutney, pickles & mint raita, tea and coffee to table with a team of 10. It was an honour to be asked to cater for the most special day of someone's life.

trailer upgrade
Our wedding bookings and festival gigs were filling up the calendar and we knew we needed to up our game with our gear. So, we spent six months designing and building our fantastic new trailer. We worked with the top-notch local crew at RGM Hopkins to create what everyone's calling 'the most beautifully built trailer anyone's seen.'
Street food cafe
3500 meals in 3 days...
Summer 2022, we had the privilege of running the bustling café tent at the delightful, Soul Circus festival. Our team managed the 260-seat café from dawn till dusk, offering a gourmet dining experience that was both indulgent and memorable.
This was an incredible event for us and like nothing we had experienced before!
WHERE WE ARE NOW
Since our humble beginnings in 2018, Honest Supper Club has embarked on an incredible journey, catering for an amazing range of events across England, Wales, and Scotland. We've had the pleasure of working with prestigious venues and events, including the renowned RHS Tatton Park, the iconic Murrayfield Stadium, Edgbaston Stadium, the vibrant Soul Circus festival, alongside numerous festivals and wedding venues up and down the country.
Honest Supper Club has evolved into something far beyond our wildest dreams. We are thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to continue cooking our food for you, celebrating every moment with our wonderful patrons. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way!
